 Demographica is a marketing agency that helps large B2B companies grow their revenue in Africa by transforming how they engage buyers, grow customers, and enable their marketing and sales teams. We are a mid-sized and we work across a variety of touchpoints in the B2B marketing and purchase journey – from brand positioning to engagement programmes and stakeholder experience projects.

We are seeking a dynamic Mid-weight Strategic Planner to join our team and make an immediate impact on exciting upcoming projects.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement insightful, integrated brand and communication strategies that clearly align with client objectives.
  • Conduct rigorous market and consumer research to uncover valuable insights and inform strategic direction.
  • Collaborate closely with creative, client service, and research teams to ensure seamless execution of strategic initiatives.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling strategic presentations to both internal teams and external clients.
  • Continuously monitor industry trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities and threats for clients.
  • Evaluate campaign effectiveness and use analytics to optimize future strategies and executions.
  • Proactively identify new strategic opportunities to support client growth and agency business objectives.

Role Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in an advertising or marketing agency, specifically in a strategic planning role.
  • Bachelor’s degree (minimum) in marketing, advertising, communication, or a related discipline.
  • Proven track record of developing impactful brand strategies and translating insights into actionable creative briefs.
  • Strong analytical capabilities combined with creative and innovative thinking.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of articulating ideas clearly and persuasively.
  • Adept at presenting strategies confidently to senior stakeholders and clients.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, especially within a smaller agency context.
  • Self-starter attitude with the capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
