Following a competitive 5-way pitch, full-service B2B marketing agency Demographica has been appointed by Volvo Trucks Southern Africa as their agency of record. Demographica will handle all through-the-line marketing and communication for the brand in South Africa.
Valentia Hobbs, Marketing Director of Volvo Trucks Southern Africa, notes that when the brand went out to pitch they were looking for a B2B agency with a difference and found the ideal partner in Demographica. “We required an agency that did not conform to ‘traditional’ marketing methods and one which would provide innovative thinking from a B2B perspective. What Demographica brought to the table during the pitch process was very refreshing. We particularly loved their focus on Account-Based Marketing and the output-based model they provided,” says Hobbs.
Warren Moss, CEO of Demographica, is looking forward to the journey ahead with the Volvo Trucks team. “Volvo Trucks is a flagship B2B brand and one of biggest commercial truck brands in the world. They have a global history of doing groundbreaking B2B communication (we all remember their incredible “Epic Split” advert with Jean-Claude Van Damme) and we’re absolutely thrilled to be working with them. This appointment also validates the idea that South African marketers are starting to recognise that B2B marketing is fundamentally different to B2C marketing, and as such are looking for specialist agencies to address their B2B needs. We look forward to assisting Volvo Trucks in aggressively driving their market share in South Africa with a very experienced and bespoke team,” adds Moss.
This appointment comes off the back of a record 2018 which which saw some major account wins such as Old Mutual Corporate, Sage, Sasfin, MTN and Saint Gobain.
Demographica, is a specialist business-to-business (B2B) marketing agency that focuses on growing revenue for their clients by helping them grow their customers and by bringing them net new ones.
